The Rico Fam (“wij”, “ons”, “onze”) hecht veel waarde aan de bescherming van jouw persoonsgegevens. In dit privacybeleid leggen wij uit welke gegevens wij verzamelen, waarom wij dat doen, hoe wij ze gebruiken en welke rechten jij hebt. Dit beleid is van toepassing op alle bezoekers van thericofamily.com.
1. Wie zijn wij
The Rico Fam is een persoonlijke reisblog, gerund door Rico en Dian (Nederland). Wij zijn verantwoordelijk voor de verwerking van jouw persoonsgegevens in de zin van de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG/GDPR).

2. Welke gegevens wij verzamelen
Automatisch verzamelde gegevens
Wanneer je onze website bezoekt, verzamelen wij automatisch bepaalde technische gegevens:
- IP-adres (geanonimiseerd)
- Type browser en apparaat
- Bezochte pagina’s en duur van het bezoek
- Verwijzende website (referrer)
- Datum en tijdstip van het bezoek
Deze gegevens worden verzameld via cookies en analysediensten (zie sectie 4).
Vrijwillig verstrekte gegevens
Wij verzamelen ook gegevens die jij actief met ons deelt:
- Nieuwsbrief: e-mailadres wanneer je je aanmeldt
- Contactformulier: naam, e-mailadres en je bericht
- Reacties: naam en e-mailadres bij het plaatsen van een reactie (indien ingeschakeld)
3. Waarom wij gegevens verwerken
Wij verwerken jouw persoonsgegevens op basis van de volgende rechtsgrondslagen (AVG artikel 6):
- Toestemming (art. 6 lid 1a): voor het versturen van nieuwsbrieven en het plaatsen van niet-essentiële cookies
- Uitvoering van een overeenkomst (art. 6 lid 1b): voor het beantwoorden van contactverzoeken
- Gerechtvaardigd belang (art. 6 lid 1f): voor websiteanalyse en beveiliging van onze website

- E-mailprovider (nieuwsbrief) — verwerking van e-mailadressen
Met verwerkers hebben wij verwerkersovereenkomsten gesloten conform de AVG. Voor doorgifte buiten de EER zijn passende waarborgen (SCCs) van toepassing.
6. Bewaartermijnen
- Nieuwsbrief: totdat je je afmeldt
- Contactformulier: maximaal 12 maanden na afsluiting van het contact
- Analytische gegevens: maximaal 14 maanden (Google Analytics instelling)
- Cookietoestemming: maximaal 12 maanden
7. Jouw rechten
Op grond van de AVG heb jij de volgende rechten:
- Recht op inzage (art. 15): je kunt opvragen welke gegevens wij van jou bewaren
- Recht op rectificatie (art. 16): onjuiste gegevens laten corrigeren
- Recht op vergetelheid (art. 17): verwijdering van jouw gegevens verzoeken
- Recht op beperking (art. 18): verwerking tijdelijk laten opschorten
- Recht op dataportabiliteit (art. 20): jouw gegevens in een standaardformaat ontvangen
- Recht van bezwaar (art. 21): bezwaar maken tegen verwerking op basis van gerechtvaardigd belang
- Recht op intrekking van toestemming: eerder gegeven toestemming intrekken
Om een verzoek in te dienen, neem contact met ons op via het contactformulier. Wij reageren binnen 30 dagen.
Ben je niet tevreden met onze reactie? Dan heb je het recht om een klacht in te dienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
8. Kinderen
Onze website is niet gericht op kinderen onder de 16 jaar. Wij verzamelen niet bewust persoonsgegevens van minderjarigen. Als je denkt dat wij per ongeluk gegevens van een kind hebben verzameld, neem dan contact met ons op.
9. Internationale bezoekers (CCPA)
Bezoekers uit Californië (VS) hebben aanvullende rechten onder de California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), waaronder het recht om te weten welke gegevens worden verzameld, het recht op verwijdering en het recht om de verkoop van gegevens te weigeren. Our website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have accidentally collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
